YES Federal Review Complete

The Federal Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) completed a two-day on site program review of YES programs June 16 and 17. The review was conducted by Dale Scott, Federal Youth Program Specialist, and Risa Remert, Program Director from the Wichita Children’s Home. YES was in compliance with all FYSB program standards covering everything from service provision, staff training and development, program planning and development, governance structure and fiscal management. Risa stated in the close-out that YES case plans for the newly developed TLP and MGH programs were “the best I’ve seen”. The street outreach program also drew high praise from Risa, who sits on the national board of Safe Place and reviews many programs. YES was praised for the consistency and respect shown to youth in our programs. YES is extremely proud to have successfully completed the review and look forward to the continued provision of services to youth in the Omaha area.
