Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our mission. Each year, volunteers donate countless hours to help us respond to the needs of youth in crisis. We are deeply grateful for the dedication and support of volunteers to further our mission and support the needs of our agency.
Because YES serves minors and young adults who come to us in crisis, we have limited opportunities for volunteers to work directly with our youth. We ask that volunteers be at least 21 years of age (or youth groups being supervised by adults).
Please contact Maren Larsen, Mentor & Volunteer Coordinator, at email@example.com or (402) 345-5187 with any questions or comments!

Assist at the Street Outreach Center: Assist with day-to-day operations to help meet the needs of our youth! We welcome volunteer groups to help sort donations, organize our pantry, prepare pantry bags, and assist with other needs within the center. Because space within the center is limited, volunteer groups of about six individuals work best. YES requires that on-site volunteer groups are present prior to business hours. Please contact Maren Larsen at 402-345-5187 or email@example.com for more information or to schedule a service date!
Student Internships and Practicums
YES is happy to work with students interested in, or requiring intern or practicum hours to complete their educational requirements. YES offers un-paid internships within our Administrative Office and Street Outreach Center. Due to space limitations, we have a limited number of internship positions. Please contact the administrative office at 402-345-5187 for more information on current openings.
Students required to complete service learning hours may do so to benefit YES by organizing a fundraiser or donation drive, preparing a meal, making fleece blankets, or organizing other benefits. Because students are peers of the youth we serve, YES asks that service learning hours be completed off-site.
