Lighting the Way for Mike | Youth Spotlight

At Youth Emergency Services (YES), we “light the way” for youth experiencing homelessness through guidance, stability, and opportunity. That light represents safety and hope—and it shines because of supporters like you.

Your generosity keeps our Drop-In Center stocked with essentials, our doors open to youth in crisis, and our housing programs ready to welcome young people like Mike.

After months of dedication and hard work, Mike is stepping into brighter days. With encouragement from YES staff, he earned his high school diploma, secured full-time employment, and moved into our Transitional Living Program—finally having a safe place to call home. And thanks to a generous gift from Walmart, Mike even received a new bike, helping eliminate long walks to work as he continues moving forward.

Mike is safely riding along the pathway of success, and we can’t wait to see where he goes next.

Donate before December 31 at yesomaha.org/donate to help guide more youth toward a home that cares. Together, we can keep the light shining.
