At the Heart of YES | Staff Spotlight
Quinn Hullett’s path to Youth Emergency Services (YES) wasn’t a straight line—but it was always guided by purpose.
“In my work, I wanted to be able to use my skills in communications and storytelling to help others,” she recalls. “It was important to me to help my organization achieve its communications goals while still connecting directly to its mission.”
That desire to blend creativity with impact eventually led her to YES, where she serves as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. With a background in storytelling, branding, and design, Quinn helps bring the voices and experiences of Omaha’s youth to the forefront. Her work is a bridge—connecting the heart of YES’ mission to the broader community through feature stories, fundraising campaigns, social media posts, and more.
“Working with youth experiencing homelessness requires tactful but compelling storytelling,” she explains. “I need to be able to tell a story in writing and through visual mediums; creativity is a must in this role.”
Since joining YES, Quinn has expanded her skills in videography and fundraising, learning through collaboration, research, and trial and error. “For me, the best way to learn is simply through doing,” she says.
As a one-person marketing team, the workload can be challenging—but the reward is undeniable.
“I get to help bring a voice to populations that might otherwise go unheard. To know that something I made can open minds and hearts—that’s a feeling that’s unmatched.”
For Quinn, the most rewarding part of her work is knowing that every message, post, and story she shares contributes to the safety, support, and hope YES provides for youth.
