Meet Adrienne | Staff Spotlight

YES is excited to expand our team this summer and welcome Adrienne as our Marketing and Communications intern! Adrienne is excited to both intern with YES and to have the opportunity to build on her marketing experience—especially with a nonprofit organization that sits close to her heart and home. 
 
Adrienne initially learned about YES through her mother, Annaye, who serves as our Housing Case Manager. From hearing about her mother’s day-to-day supporting young people, Adrienne found inspiration in the YES mission.

“I’m passionate about safety and stability for all,” she said. “I believe that every young person deserves a place to find safety and hope—YES is a special place to me.”

Beyond the work we do at YES, Adrienne connects with the values behind our mission. She believes in the strength that comes from developing relationships in the service sector. Through relating to those around her by showcasing empathy, Adrienne places an importance on building connections—a value she shares with YES.

“Through their hands-on programs and meaningful impact on youth in crisis, YES faithfully embodies the values they stand for,” she observed.
 
Finding value in others is not all that sets Adrienne apart when it comes to marketing important causes. YES’ new intern is currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a marketing student and also serves as Treasurer of the American Marketing Association for her school’s chapter. In that role, she maintains a stable budget and reviews financial reports.

Through this newest opportunity with YES, Adrienne is eager for this opportunity to build on her marketing experience and contribute meaningful work to our community. Likewise, YES is thrilled to build impact by supporting future difference-makers like Adrienne.
