Meet Nettie | Staff Spotlight
When young people reach out for help, staff like Antoinette “Nettie” Scaife, Housing Lead, help ensure they are met with safety, support, and understanding.
Through YES’ Housing Program, Nettie works closely with youth who have experienced significant trauma and uncertainty. Many arrive unsure of what comes next—but with guidance and encouragement, they begin to see new possibilities.
“Each day I hear about the trauma that impacted the youth’s ability to feel wanted—the ability to feel needed, the ability to accomplish what once seemed far beyond their reach,” Nettie shares. “With YES’ Housing Program, we create an environment where they can pause, breathe, and begin planning what comes next.”
Together with the YES team, Nettie helps youth set realistic goals, build healthy habits, and develop the confidence needed to move toward independence. Over time, the transformation is powerful.
“When youth leave here, they feel empowered—they feel a breath of fresh air,” Nettie says. “Not only the housing staff, but the entire YES team strives for success for every young person who comes through our doors.”
Through compassion, stability, and consistent support, staff like Nettie help ensure YES remains a safe place where young people can begin building a brighter future.
